The Skin and It's Care

You may not  have realize the the skin is the largest organ in the body. It also has many different functions, such as, protection against microorganisms, prevention of water loss and our heating and cooling system just to name a few. It is actually made up 3 layers, the epidermis, the dermis and the subcutaneous.

Now, as important as the skin is, it's care is as equally as important and that is what we are going to be talking about today. First of all let me make it clear that skin care varies from one type of skin to another. Let's break this up into two (2) categories: Cleansing and Toning.

Cleansing is by far the most important factor in skincare. Yes, I am talking about the unsightly blackheads that come from clogged pores. Most of you are crying foul and saying acne is their main problem. Noted, but acne can be caused by genetics and stress. Basically we need to get rid of the dead cells and the stale make-up from partying the night before.
Toning stimulates the skin, it's pores and circulation of the blood (remember it's our air conditioner).
Usually, you moisturize and condition to conclude your skin care routine.

Now, let me ask, what are the best ingredients we need to look for in skincare products. Vitamin C is a great thing to have. It reduces wrinkles, keeps skin damage to a minimum and will actually lighten your hair! (Like lemons). How about Vitamin A? It's effective against the damaging rays of the sun, healing skin damage and reduces wrinkles.

Where can you buy products that contain these? The supermarket! But, do you really trust these places with your skin. Remember, it is the largest and one of the most important organs in the body. Usually these products are filled with artificial ingredients and chemicals. Very rarely will you find anything with natural ingredients in these places.  So, do your research, look for products that are natural like the ones I mentioned and your skin can stay healthy and young looking for years to come!.
